Become a Peer Reviewer

Eligibility Criteria

Nasirus Publishing invites academics with a minimum doctoral degree in publishing studies, cultural heritage, information science, library science, archive management, and related disciplines to join our peer review pool. A minimum of five years’ academic experience and at least three peer-reviewed publications in international or national journals is expected. Early-career researchers and doctoral candidates may apply as observer reviewers.

Expertise Declaration

Prospective reviewers must specify one or more areas of expertise upon registration in our peer review management system. Areas may include Central Asian Archives, Digital Humanities, Conservation Science, Information Access, Library Technologies, and Translation History. The system matches incoming manuscripts to your declared expertise to ensure appropriate reviewer assignments.

Review Timeline

Reviewers are asked to complete evaluations within 21 days. If additional time is needed, notify the managing editor in advance. After three weeks without submission, the system automatically sends a reminder; if still unsubmitted, the article is reassigned. Upon completion, each reviewer receives a formal thank-you letter and an ethics certificate.

Double-Blind Confidentiality

The journal operates a double-blind peer review system. The production team removes author identifiers and cover pages from manuscripts before assignment. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other; only the managing editor knows both identities. Reviewer comments are shared with authors without attribution.

Evaluation Form and Standards

Reports are submitted through the journal’s standardized review form, which includes sections for: (1) Scientific Quality and Originality, (2) Methodology and Evidence, (3) Writing and Presentation, (4) Relevance and Impact, (5) Major Issues, (6) Minor Suggestions, and (7) Recommendation (Accept / Minor Revisions / Major Revisions / Reject). Each section contains structured questions and comment fields.

Conflict of Interest Statement

Upon assignment, reviewers must sign a conflict of interest disclosure that includes co-authorship within five years, institutional affiliation, financial interests, or personal relationships with the author. Any material conflict must be reported to the managing editor immediately, who may decline the assignment.
